Spring is becoming a distant memory as we endured a high of 98 degrees today! The first heat wave brings folks out to the nurseries in droves. So this is the first installment of brief write ups on our local nurseries so you know where to go for what you need.
G&G Ace Hardware’s nursery is becoming a fixture in Yreka, at least during the planting season. For the past few years that gray, vacant lot that sits at the ‘Y’ where Broadway and Main Street in Yreka meet, becomes a little oasis of greenery.
What I love about this nursery is how convenient it is. They always have great quality plants and I can pop in on my lunch break to browse or zip in on my way home if I have a burning desire to plant something when I get home (stress relief). Some people drink or beat the dog, I plant!
G&G has a have great staff - very friendly and helpful. Do pop in and say hi to Lyle, buy some flowers and help keep our city beautiful:)
