My little one has been down today with some yucky mutant flu bug. Poor kid!
It reminds me of the time my computer got a virus. I woke up one morning, flipped on the computer only to find a menacing message that my computer was infected. Yikes! I was pretty freaked out, turned it off and proceeded to come to terms with the idea that I’d lost my computer for good. (well, I did have a few chose words to say prior to those reflective moments of resignation)
I happened to mention my troubles to a friend of ours and he said he knew just who could fix it! He took my computer to his neighbor in Callahan, which was a little scary, but I figured I didn’t have much to lose.
Turns out our friend was right! Robert was just the guy who could fix my computer! That’s what he does - who knew there was a great computer tech in Callahan? Not me! Not you either? Well, I must say, he’s the man to go to for fixing problems. And the bill was really reasonable. I wouldn’t be posting this today if it wasn’t for him.
I had no idea who I was dealing with but soon found out that Robert has over 16 years experience with computers. He’s worked with the sharks and has now settled down in Callahan. He freelances with computer setups, troubleshooting, software training and virus protection (yea for me!). It just seems like folks out there in Callahan should know about Robert if they have computer troubles. He’ll help you if you live in Mt. Shasta or Yreka too. Isn’t it nice to know who your neighbors are? Robert can be reached at 467-4212.
…… one last note on viruses - have you seen these? They are Giant Microbes, plush, stuffed and cute! This is penicillin! Cute cute cute!!!
…… also one last note on ‘knowing your neighbors’. I’ve spent some time working in the back yard lately and last night had an overwhelming desire to head outside before it got dark and take one more look at our progress. While I was wondering in the back yard my neighbor says “hello” from his back yard.
Neighbor: “Would you like some home made rhubarb pie? My wife made two and maybe you’d like some?”
Me: “Um, yea, sure!”
I bring the pie into the house.
Me: “So, honey, would you like whipped cream on your pie?”
Husband: “What pie?!”
Me: “I went out back and got a pie!” hee hee, this is fun!
Husband: “No, really, where’d you get the pie?”
Me: “ugg, Ok ok. Our neighbor gave it to us!”
I’m telling you, it’s good to know your neighbors. Yummy!!!! BTW the rhubarb came from the other neighbors. I love Siskiyou County!
