We saw that the Montague Farmer’s Market was opening this weekend. It was a chilly and blustery morning and the turn out was very slim for the market; however I did get to meet Ann Robinson, the president of the market. I must say her enthusiasm was quite contagious.
Montague Farmer’s Market is fun because its diverse! It’s not just growers, they also have crafters and artists - all local! And it is growing each year and Ann has some exciting plans for the years to come that include a mobile kitchen for cooking demonstrations - sssway cool!!!
I encourage you to go to the Montague Farmer’s Market next Saturday. I just love Montague! It has so much charm with all the colorful little store fronts - but, like Yreka, not enough shops in those store fronts. I wish they had a soda fountain or candy shop or some sort of eclectic little gift shop. Alas, no one has caught that vision, at least no one with capital! (with the exception of Ms. Lynn’s Tea - Great place!!!!)
Anyhoo - at they’ve got a great farmer’s market! Saturdays 9am - noon in the Railroad Park right downtown.
