Hiking in Siskiyou County

Here they are:

For you adventurous, ‘have to do this before I die’ hikers:

For you less ambitious but still enthusiastic hikers:

For those big spenders that want to pay for the extras:

And finally if you want to win it big:

The Fort Jones Lions Club is having a raffle for a great pack trip. Trip includes 5 days in the Marble Mountain Wilderness hosted by S & E Outfitters for 4 people. You will hike or travel by horseback 6 miles from the trailhead and establish camp next to Sky High Lake. They will provide lodging at a local B&B the night before the trip. All tents, meals, cots, pack animals and camping chores are provided for you.

Drawing will be held July 15, 2008. Call for your raffle tickets today 1 for $5 or 5 for $20 - 468-4430

And don’t forget the Pacific Crest Trail (www.pcta.org) which through Siskiyou County. The PCT passes pretty close to Dunsmuir, so every summer we see hikers picking up new boots and supplies which they’ve had shipped to the post office to replace those they’ve worn out. There are always those who attempt the trail from Mexico to Canada, but you can just make a simple day trip too.

Dave - Thanks for the additional link - I added it as if it was always there:) I didn’t realize the PCT was that close to Dunsmuir. Great info!!!
