They’re baaaacckkk……! Spotted the little blue trailer yesterday downtown Yreka across the street from Nature’s Kitchen. It’s Ron and Judy Peters serving up great shaved ice from their Shiver Zone trailer. You can get traditional shaved ice or Hawaiian style, which has a scoop of ice cream in the center. I’ve always thought that sounds kind of weird, but Judy says not as weird as the traditional Hawaiian style with sweet beans in it!? They don’t do the sweet bean style ~ it’s a ‘Hawaii only’ sort of deal, but I love what they do do! My favorite is Pina Colada~ super yummy!!! And super great prices!
You can find the Shiver Zone downtown Monday-Thursday from about 11am-5pm and then on Fridays they are parked down at Miner St Park during the Scott Valley Bank Concerts. They are also available for hire if you have a company picnic or family reunion coming up!
