YAC Car Wash

If you live in Yreka you’ve probably noticed the car wash coming back to life. OK, so the paint job is pretty crazy. I can’t tell you how many times I drove by this place and just shook my head in absolute wonderment at the concept of using such an odd color! What were they thinking??! This color is good for striping roads it must be good for buildings too?!

But, aside from that I can say that my husband had an oil change done and he said it was truly refreshing to go in and get JUST an oil change. There was no high pressure upselling and I can say that is HUGE for most people that have left the typical oil change places with an ad in one hand that says $34.95 and a bill in the other that says something like $113.54. WTHeck!!?? And you get a car wash with every oil change. Very cool! And who doesn’t like going through the automatic car wash? Have some fun and take your dog or your toddler! Now, that’s entertainment!

So, after you’ve been parked in the dusty parking lot at the Fair all day, zip over to YAC and get your car sparkling again. Weeee!!

Wow, I am glad I am not the only one who recognized the yellow color as the same as the double lines on the roads…. I wonder if Cal Trans had a sale on old paint! :P The paint job is just a bit too “carnival” for me… but I am a very opinionated little ole gal.

I haven’t been there, generally prefer to save $ by washing my own car… I know the last owners had what I considered high prices… anyone know what a car wash costs?…hope they advertise the price on the street! However it is nice to see someone in the business spot… I hope they are successful… now if they only had a Gold Rush theme and toned down that paint!

I should have mentioned the prices - the car wash starts at $8.

I have a feeling the paint color will grow on us….. maybe….. we’ll see…..

I do know that the YAC guys are good business people. We shopped their car lot and if they had the car we were looking for we would have been glad to do business with them. They were really friendly and helpful. I think they’ll be successful.

i’m going there to get my oil changed. i get tired of having to politely say “no thank you”. also, with all the fires, and the residual left on my car, i look forward to getting off my ash with a free car wash.
