The little town of Montague was the center of activity this weekend! We had such a blast! ~ aside from getting up at 4:30 in the morning!! What were we thinking?!! Next year take note that it isn’t necessary to get up THAT early. Although the solo pre-dawn balloon was a cool thing to see! The real action happens at around 7am when most of the balloons are being inflated and are slowing ascending into the sunrise. The scene was fantastic!!
Of course the husband and I zeroed in on the food!! The pancake breakfast ROCKED!!
Then we got in close to see how the balloon “works”. Check out the smiley face! Cute, huh?
After that we zipped into town to check out the farmers market. The vendors didn’t even have a chance to get set up before people were gathering to buy buy buy! The chili cook off had 5 contestants ~ the biggest chili cook off of the year! Nice job Montague! And the Blue Goose hauled people back and forth all weekend!
I must say it was such a great energy in town this day. All the people were cheerful and laid back. We stayed for the parade ……
I mean ~ we REALLY stayed for the parade and that’s all I have to say about that ~ I’m pleading the 5th!
