Revitalization in Yreka

In the last few weeks we have all been berated with doom and gloom. This downturn in our economy has been a difficult time for our nation and the impact locally has hit many hard. But I want you to know that despite it all there is still construction going on, new businesses opening and old businesses are sprucing up. Check it out!!

The College of the Siskiyous is undergoing massive construction! Yea!! And a really nice building is going up on Ranch Lane behind Good To Go Espresso.

Mill Creek Productions added Technohunt for our bowmen and hunters and Yreka Auto Center re-opened the car wash.

Even Miner Street has filled a couple vacancies. Our newbies are MacGregors Books Emporium, Siskiyou Web Design and the newest kid on the block is New Traditions Dulcimers - super cool!!

Finally, I was quite impressed with the new paint job on Yreka Hardware. I never thought I’d see the day this building got a fresh coat of paint - Wow!! What a difference!

If you weren’t watching the news (all day, everyday - I know you are, don’t try to deny it!) anyways, if you weren’t watching you may not even notice that the economy is going into the proverbial porcelain throne.

But don’t worry. What, me worry? Winston Churchill said, “You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they’ve tried everything else.

Just stop. Be happy!
