Louise, Thanks for the response. I do have a lot of energy at times. I used to use that energy to pick up litter around town and sweep sidewalks and stuff like that. My current business keeps me at home now. I also used to attend the city council meetings - why do you think I am so discouraged! All our city does is have meetings and they actually get very little DONE. “well, lets have a meeting about having another meeting about that issue and after that meeting we’ll plan a meeting about the legalities of that issue and after that meeting we’ll plan a meeting about the financial impact of that issue and after that meeting we’ll have a meeting about not doing anything about that issue because we just can’t agree on it. . . .” grrrrr!!!

Yep, money is tight. That they can all agree on.

Your previous post was about “nothing” well looks like some of these are ideas for a small business… Hummm janitorial? Gardening or landscaping or opening a small retail business! How about consulting? ;#)

Sounds like you have the energy for something like those things Or something else that you have already thought of? You could also go to city council meetings and start building relationships with the city council members??? The one problem with cities is that money tight.

Dunsmuir - always changing - some good, some bad. We have a brewery! And we have a couple of new businesses set to open - something besides restaurants for a change. You and I have been residents of Siskiyou County for about the same length of time - and boy has it been an adventure.
Not an easy place to make a living, but a great place to make a life…

Dunsmuir Dave, You are so funny! I checked my stats when I logged on to post and saw how FEW people were checking into siskiyoutopia - and to get a comment - and to get a comment from Dunsmuir Dave!! Wow!
I’ve been doing child care at home for the past year, so I don’t get out much, but I’m taking a break and will have at least a month off. I may just go on a binge - a “posting” binge! ;) who knows……. maybe……
